In this study, scientists from Zimbabwe and Kazakhstan investigated how extracts from the fruits of Annona stenophylla and Flacourtia indica may help in the prevention of cancer caused by the formation of free radicals due to exposure to ultraviolet (UV) light. Their findings were published in the Journal of Medicinal Plants Research.
Based on their findings, the scientists concluded that extracts from the fruits of A. stenophylla and F. indica show promise as natural products that can be used to help prevent the onset of cancer.
