Indonesian researchers investigated the protective effects of Etlingera hemisphaerica (helani tulip ginger) ethanolic leaf extract (LE3H) against mercuric chloride (HgCl2) toxicity in mice. They reported their findings in an article published in the Journal of Dietary Supplements.
Based on these findings, the researchers concluded that the ethanolic leaf extract of E. hemisphaerica exerts a protective effect against HgCl2 toxicity in the blood.
