A proposed study in the journal BMC Complementary and Alternative Medicine claims to be the first randomized control trial (RCT) that will evaluate the effects of green cardamom supplementation in patients with Type 2 diabetes. Researchers from the Tehran University of Medical Sciences will determine how the spice influences glycemic status, lipid profile, and other biomarkers for patients with the condition.
